Job Summary: Provide evaluation and treatment for musculoskeletal, vascular, and neurological conditions tailored to each patient. Deliver education and preventative care to patients, their families, healthcare associates, and the broader community. Act as a liaison among patients, families, physicians, nursing staff, and social services to ensure coordinated care.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Utilize clinical expertise and sound judgment to care for patients across all age groups, from pediatric to geriatric, ensuring high-quality treatment including evaluation, treatment planning, patient and family education, safety procedures, and communication with relevant parties.
• Operate patient care equipment such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation units, mechanical traction, exercise devices, wound care tools, and hospital beds.
• Guide patients in the use of assistive devices, braces, orthotics, prosthetics, and orthopedic equipment.
• Assist patients with mobility, strengthening exercises, muscle reeducation, gait training, activities of daily living, and functional training.
• Adapt physiotherapeutic techniques for patients who have difficulty understanding verbal commands or performing therapeutic exercises independently.
• Document patient care in compliance with regulatory and departmental standards.
• Engage in continuous quality improvement activities including patient care evaluation and peer review.
• Maintain excellent communication and customer service with patients, colleagues, and other departments.
• Supervise aides, students, and volunteers as needed.
• Support departmental functions and contribute to staff education.
• Pursue ongoing professional development relevant to clinical practice.

Education and Experience:

• Graduation from an accredited Physical, Occupational, or Speech Therapy program recognized by the American Physical Therapy Association, American Occupational Therapy Association, or American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
• Continuing education relevant to clinical practice and professional duties.
• Active involvement in professional organizations at local, state, and national levels as appropriate.
• Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree.
• Up to 10 years of experience preferred.

Licensure and Certifications:

• Must hold or be eligible for licensure in the applicable state.
• CPR certification required.

Work Shift: Day shift in a regional healthcare setting within the Midwest United States.
