Psychiatrists are encouraged to consider a part-time remote practice opportunity with Liberty Healthcare Corporation.

Program Overview

Liberty Healthcare operates a specialized forensic mental health program which exclusively serves people who are justice-involved and have recently been determined to be incompetent to stand trial due to mental illness.

The goal of this program is to provide rapid mental health services to people in need - so they may achieve improved behavioral health outcomes as quickly as possible.

Services are provided to clients who are adult inmates at county jail facilities located throughout San Diego, San Bernardino, Riverside and San Mateo Counties.

Responsibilities

• Assessing patients, formulating diagnoses, and prescribing medications
• Conducting risk assessments
• Participating in case conferences and team meetings

Work Setting and Schedule

• This is a virtual position which will allow you to work remotely from your home office
• Set schedule: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm (Pacific Daylight Time)

Compensation and Benefits

• $200.00 to $215.00 per hour (depending on qualifications)
• Professional liability insurance is provided

Qualifications

• Licensed professionally in California as a Medical Doctor or Doctor of Osteopathy
• Board Certified in Psychiatry
• Experience in providing psychiatric treatment to adults who have serious mental illness is required
