Opportunity for a Psychiatrist Physician in Somerville, New Jersey, focusing on inpatient Behavioral Health at a leading healthcare facility. This role entails collaborative patient care and psychiatric management.

About the Opportunity:

Hybrid or Remote: Not applicable
Shift: Day shift
Schedule: Monday - Friday, with one weekend per month
Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Setting: Inpatient Behavioral Health

Responsibilities:

The Psychiatrist (Physician) will be responsible for:

Evaluating, diagnosing, managing, and discharging psychiatric inpatients
Providing care for patients with complex psychiatric conditions
Conducting psychiatric assessments and medication management
Collaborating with physicians, APPs, nursing staff, and treatment teams
Participating in treatment planning and discharge coordination

Qualifications:

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
Active New Jersey Medical License
Experience in inpatient psychiatry
Proficiency in psychiatric evaluations and medication management
Strong collaboration skills
Excellent problem-solving abilities
Effective communication skills
Team-oriented attitude
Adaptability in a multidisciplinary environment

Desired Skills:

Experience in complex behavioral health management preferred
Active New Jersey Medical License
Comfortable supervising APPs
Proficiency in EMR systems
Strong organizational skills
