Position Description

Fuel, lubricate and inspect heavy equipment parts and components for damage and perform preventative maintenance on company heavy equipment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Maintain and service company heavy equipment by lubricating and fueling daily.
• Perform daily inspections to inform mechanics of needed repairs.
• Complete preventative maintenance services on all types of equipment and vehicles.
• Maintain on site inventory of fuel, oil, and filters.
• Use hand wrenches, pneumatic grease gun, hammers, impact tools, screw drivers, and filter wrenches to complete work.
• Read and understand oil reference guides, application and cross reference manuals.
• Accurately and timely submit work orders, fuel reports, parts requisitions, meter readings and time sheets.
• Travel to and from job site in company trade area.

Position Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

Technicians must have a mechanical background. Also must have at least a Class B, CDL license with a HAZMAT endorsement . Must have and maintain a clean MVR for the last 5 years. Must pass pre-employment drug test and fitness test prior to working.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ABILITIES

Position requires employee to frequently stand, walk, twist, bend, handle objects, reach outward, and reach above head and shoulders, climb, squat, kneel, bend, and occasionally carry/push/pull/move/drag or lift 50-80 lbs., up to a height of 3 feet.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work is outdoors. Working conditions range from frigid to hot temps, high winds, flying dust, slipping hazards and conditions and frequently exposed to loud noise from heavy equipment and machinery. Frequent exposure to grease, oil, and dirt.
