Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Delivering travel day shift services in Pine Bluff, Arkansas for a 13-week assignment. Provide acute respiratory care, manage ventilators and blood gases, and support multidisciplinary teams. Impact: ensure patient stability and continuity of care in a busy hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide respiratory care to patients per physician orders and hospital protocols, including BIPAP/CPAP and ventilator management.
• Execute Updraft Therapy and other ordered treatments, ensuring appropriate delivery, patient tolerance, and documentation.
• Document blood gas results and respiratory interventions, communicating clinically relevant trends to the care team promptly.
• Perform EKGs and assist with cardiopulmonary monitoring workflows as required by unit procedures.
• Collaborate with nurses and physicians during rotating 36/48 day schedules, including occasional night shifts or weekend coverage for emergency needs, to maintain continuity of care.

Qualifications:

• Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy (or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
• Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential (or CRT acceptable per facility needs).
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification.
• Current AHA ACLS certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care respiratory therapy experience in a hospital setting.
• Demonstrated experience managing ventilators and performing respiratory treatments.
• Experience performing and interpreting blood gases in accordance with unit protocols.
• Ability to perform Updraft Therapy, blood gases, BIPAP/CPAP, ventilators, and EKGs.
• Scheduling flexibility to work 12-hour shifts with occasional 8-hour shifts, night shifts, or weekend coverage for emergencies.
• Comfort working in hospital EMR systems; HMS/MedHost CRT or RRT acceptable per facility requirements.
