The Yard Gym Woburn is a class-based strength and conditioning gym built around high-quality coaching, and an exceptional member experience in an immaculate facility.

We’re looking for experienced, high-level Group Fitness Coaches who are confident leading from the front. The right coaches will be technically strong, energetic, personable, and capable of creating an environment that is both fun and challenging while maintaining a high standard of movement quality and safety.

Technical Coaching Ability

• Strong proficiency in demonstrating and coaching foundational and advanced barbell movements including variations of the following:

  • Bench Press

  • Overhead Press

  • Squat

  • Deadlift

  • Hip Thrust

  • Row

  • Power Clean

  • Squat Clean

• Ability to effectively cue, regress, progress, and modify movements for a wide range of fitness levels within a group setting

• Strong understanding of movement patterns, proper technique, progressive overload, and safe training practices

• Ability to recognize and correct movement issues in real time

• Confident presence and strong communication skills, with the ability to lead classes of 10–25+ members with energy, clarity, and purpose

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of group coaching experience in Strength & Conditioning, CrossFit, HIIT, or a comparable training environment

• Current nationally recognized fitness certification, such as NASM, NSCA, ACSM, ACE, or CF-L1+

• Current CPR/AED certification

• Background in athletics, sports performance, functional training, or performance coaching is a plus

Member Experience & Leadership

• Committed to delivering an outstanding member experience from the moment members arrive through their entire visit

• Comfortable providing individual coaching, real-time feedback, and appropriate movement modifications during group sessions

• Punctual, dependable, prepared, and solution-oriented

• Able to take ownership of the training floor and lead the room rather than simply follow the programmed workout

• Capable of creating an encouraging environment while still holding members to a high coaching standard

• Willing and skilled in supporting membership sales by engaging with prospective members, answering questions about The Yard Gym experience, and assisting them through onboarding

Class & Facility Operations

• Comfortable checking members in, managing class transitions, and maintaining an organized and timely flow throughout each session

• Willing to assist with equipment organization, facility resets, and pre/post-class cleaning

• Understands that maintaining the training environment and member experience is a shared responsibility across the team.

Team & Culture

• Brings positive energy, professionalism, and personality to every class

• Coachable, collaborative, and supportive of fellow team members

• Willing to participate in events, initiatives, sponsorships etc

• Interested in growing with The Yard Gym and becoming a meaningful part of the gym and its community

• Willing to provide broad and consistent availability rather than simply picking up occasional classes

• Willing to step in wherever needed and contribute beyond core coaching responsibilities to support the team, members, and day-to-day operation of the gym
