Special Education Director
Smithfield Public Schools
Special Education Director
The Greene School is a public charter high school located in West Greenwich, Rhode Island, serving approximately 200 students in grades 9–12. Our students come from the entire state of RI - including urban, rural and suburban areas. We are rooted in EL Education (Expeditionary Learning model) and grounded in a commitment to environmental education, student agency, and authentic learning experiences for students from diverse cultures and backgrounds. TGS has recently received state approval to expand to a 6–12 configuration, adding a middle school program that will deepen our continuum of learning and strengthen our community. This is an exciting moment in our school's history and an equally exciting time to join our community.

The role also carries instructional and collaborative leadership responsibilities tied to fostering a positive school culture and effectively managing student crises. This part-time schedule is well suited to an experienced special education leader seeking a focused, high-impact role within a small, mission-driven school community.
