We're looking for a Quality Engineer II to play a key role in supporting and improving our products throughout their lifecycle. In this role, you'll partner cross-functionally to solve complex problems, drive continuous improvement, and ensure our products meet the highest standards of performance and reliability.This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on problem solving, data-driven decision making, and collaborating with engineering and manufacturing teams to make a real impact.What You'll DoProvide sustaining engineering and product support to ensure ongoing product performance and reliabilityPlan and execute product and design verification testing; support development of test plans and production implementation activitiesTroubleshoot product and process issues using root cause analysis and engineering fundamentalsInitiate and support Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) in collaboration with cross-functional teamsConduct audits of products, processes, and systems; drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)Analyze data to identify trends, track issues, and support continuous improvement initiativesSupport Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), including DFMEA, PFMEA, control plans, and capability studiesDevelop and maintain quality procedures in alignment with quality system requirementsPartner with Manufacturing to ensure effective quality methods, training, and complianceSupport customer issue resolution, validation testing, and field troubleshootingMentor junior engineers and contribute to team developmentParticipate on cross-functional project teams and apply project management fundamentalsBuild strong knowledge of our products and manufacturing processesWhat You BringBachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, or a related technical field3+ years of experience in quality or engineering within a manufacturing environmentStrong understanding of engineering fundamentals, including tolerance analysis and design reviewAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical specificationsExperience applying problem-solving tools (8D, DMAIC, Fishbone, 5-Why)Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Minitab for statistical analysisStrong attention to detail with a proactive, solution-oriented mindsetAbility to collaborate across teams and communicate effectivelyNice to HaveExperience with CAD tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD)ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Six Sigma Green BeltElectrical/electronic background or exposureExperience with QC-Calc or SQLSpanish language skillsWorking EnvironmentRole includes time on the manufacturing floorAudiogram testing may be required depending on departmentCompetitive Total Rewards at Badger Meter:Competitive PayAnnual BonusEligible for Annual Pay IncreasesComprehensive Health, Vision, and Dental Coverage15 days Paid Time Off + 11 Paid HolidaysTwo Ways to Save for Retirement: Badger Meter contributes 25 cents for every dollar you contribute to the plan, up to 7% of your eligible compensation.
