Job Description
Surgical RN - General

Schedule

On-call requirement includes 2 days per week, with weekend coverage involving 3 on-call 24-hour shifts per month. Commitment to work 3 holidays is also required.

Assignment Details

Orientation consists of 40 hours. Must be willing to float to nearby sister facilities if needed.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year RN experience required
• Current compact license
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
• Experience in endoscopy is required
• Charting system: Epic preferred

Responsibilities

• Circulate in the operating room for various surgical procedures
• Provide recovery care in the post-anesthesia care unit (PACU)
• Assist with general OR cases, ambulatory surgery, and endoscopic procedures
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond to emergencies as needed
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure effective patient care

Compliance / Notes

Candidate must provide 2 recent references covering 1 year within the last 3 years. Background checks are performed, and drug screens may be required.
