Exercise SpecialistThe Exercise Specialist implements the comprehensive outpatient Cardiac Pulmonary Rehab program, which also includes the maintenance program. The exercise specialist also serves as a resource for both the hospital and the community.Core Duties and ResponsibilitiesOversees the activities of patients participating in the cardiac, pulmonary rehab and maintenance programsDocuments in a clear and legible mannerRecognizes and integrates patient special needs and individualizes careMaintains a therapeutic relationship with patients, family and significant others while providing careMinimum RequirementsBachelor’s Degree in Exercise PhysiologyPrevious heart monitoring / telemetry / EKG experiencePrevious experience in exercise / strength trainingPrior Cardio Pulmonary Rehab Experience PreferredBLS Certification through the American Heart Association; ACLS obtained within one year of employmentAbility to Walk/Stand and Lift/Push/Pull for Extended Periods of TimeMedical Terminology ExperienceStrong Interpersonal/Organizational/Communication SkillsSalary Range: $23.16- $31.20 hourly (based on experience)Shore Medical Center is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
