We invite you to join our team!Location: 205 Chestnut Hill Road, Stafford Springs, Connecticut, 06076What You'll Do:As the Wound Care Nurse, you'll be responsible for assessing, treating, and monitoring wound conditions in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. Your care planning and interventions will improve wound healing and enhance the comfort and quality of life our residents. You will be practitioner, resource, consultant, educator, and facilitator to raise the overall quality of care to individuals with complex wound care needs.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide oversight and expertise of wound care and prevention program for residents and staffConduct comprehensive wound assessments and develop individualized care plans for patients exhibiting skin complicationsProvide direct wound care interventions, including dressing changes, debridement, and wound irrigationReview, update and direct the implementation of wound care & prevention policies and proceduresMonitor wound healing progress and evaluate the effectiveness of treatment modalitiesEducate residents, families, and staff on wound care protocols and prevention strategiesCollaborate with physicians, wound care specialists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate careMaintain accurate documentation of wound assessments, interventions, and outcomes for regulatory compliance and reimbursementIf you are a vigilant, detail-oriented, healthcare professional whose personal mission is safeguarding the world from barriers to wound healing, we encourage you to join our team as a Wound Care Nurse!
