Key Responsibilities

• Safely and humanely restrain animals for exams, diagnostics, and treatments
• Assist veterinarians and technicians during day to day and emergency procedures
• Provide clear, compassionate client education regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions
• Support triage and patient intake in a walk-in emergency setting
• Monitor hospitalized patients and communicate changes promptly
• Maintain clean, organized, and well-prepared exam and treatment areas
• Actively support teammates to ensure smooth, efficient workflow during all shifts

Qualifications

• Veterinary assistant or hands-on animal care experience required
• Strong animal handling and restraint skills with a focus on safety
• Proven reliability, strong work ethic, and commitment to professionalism
• Ability to stay calm, focused, and supportive in emergency situations
• Excellent communication skills with both clients and team members
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays as part of a shared team schedule
• Interest in long-term employment and professional growth within veterinary medicine
