The Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Hotel is located in the famed Deer Valley ski resort, about 40 minutes from Salt Lake City International Airport. This new development will feature 17 ski lifts, approximately 1,600 residential units, eight hotels with 1,350 rooms, 250,000 square feet of conference and retail space, and the world’s largest ski beach. The Grand Hyatt Deer Valley comprises 436 luxury accommodations including 381 guest rooms and 55 residential units, ~30,000 sq ft of versatile indoor meeting space, a lobby-level 3‑meal restaurant and bar, signature bar, pool and après‑ski bar and grill, coffee bistro, outdoor event terrace, pool, three whirlpools, kids club, and fitness area. Overview The Salute to Service Program Ambassador is a cornerstone role within Grand Hyatt Deer Valley’s Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) commitment, serving as the primary representative, storyteller, and advocate for our military community. The position blends high‑touch guest service with strategic outreach, program promotion, and partnership development across on‑property, off‑property, and community settings. Position Summary The Salute to Service Program Ambassador serves as the primary representative of the program, providing high‑touch support to military guests while driving visibility, outreach, and strategic alignment across departments and community partners. Responsibilities include recommendations, local insights, curated guidance, site tours, marketing and sales collaboration, board‑level participation, and partnership development with MIDA. The Ambassador is the point of contact for military guests and a champion for program visibility and growth. Key Responsibilities Guest Support & Guidance – Serve as a warm, informed resource for military guests, offering tailored recommendations, local insights, and supportive guidance. Program Ambassadorship – Represent the Salute to Service program across the resort, at community events, military gatherings, and partner activations. Experience Curation – Coordinate special recognition moments, amenities, and curated experiences designed specifically for military families. Site Tours – Lead property tours for military guests, MIDA representatives, partners, and prospective collaborators, articulating the program’s mission, offerings, and impact. Marketing & Sales Collaboration – Partner with marketing and sales teams to promote the program, support content creation, assist with outreach campaigns, and represent the program in promotional opportunities. Partnership Development – Strengthen relationships with MIDA, local organizations, veteran‑serving groups, and community partners; support joint initiatives and cross‑property collaboration. Board & Committee Participation – Attend relevant board meetings, provide program updates, share guest insights, and represent the resort’s commitment to the military community. Off‑Site Representation – Attend community events, military functions, and partner meetings as a representative of Grand Hyatt Deer Valley and the Salute to Service program. Operational Excellence – Maintain accurate program documentation, guest notes, reporting, and compliance with resort standards and MIDA guidelines. Cultural Fluency – Demonstrate deep understanding of military culture, communication norms, and the unique needs of service members and their families.
