Location DAIKIN TX TECHNOLOGY PARK 19001 KERMIER ROAD WALLER, TX 77484, USA Description The Quality Engineer oversees quality-related activities for manufactured products at DAIKIN TX TECHNOLOGY PARK (DTTP) and related products from sister plants and third‑party vendors. They lead continuous improvement initiatives, review quality standards, evaluate engineering changes, develop test plans, monitor warranty reports, and drive corrective actions to ensure product quality and consistency. Responsibilities Advocate for manufacturing operations and end customers by ensuring new product launches meet higher quality standards. Track and communicate product launch performance using established metrics. Drive a culture of continuous improvement and enforce product quality through standards adherence. Coordinate with Tech Services, Quality Control, Reliability, Warranty Analytics, and Supplier Quality to oversee C&PA related to quality issues. Lead development quality improvement and warranty monitoring reporting activities for new product launches. Orchestrate New Product Launch efforts to minimize manufacturing impact and support production. Ensure product design, supplier, reliability, and component changes are fully verified and validated through engineering test processes and reliability tests. Resolve quality issues with cross‑functional teams and implement corrective actions for moderate issues. Manage small quality improvement projects with guidance from managers. Use basic quality tools, control plans, and SPC to analyze and improve quality. Conduct root cause analysis and implement improvements based on PDCA, DMAIC, and other continuous‑improvement methods. Collect and analyze data to transform into actionable information. Lead data collection and analysis for quality improvement projects. Perform additional projects or duties to support business needs. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or related Engineering field. Experience: 2–4 years in Quality Engineering. Certifications: Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent preferred. Technical skills: HVAC system designs and standards, understanding of manufacturing defects and quality issues, solid knowledge of quality management systems, experience with Minitab, Excel (pivot tables), Tableau, MAPICS. Proficiency in quality tools such as SPC, control plans, DMAIC, DOE, FMEA, 8DS, lean methodologies. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with ability to convert data into actionable insights. Excellent communication skills: presentation development, meeting facilitation, clear written and verbal communication. Leadership qualities and interpersonal skills to manage multiple projects and motivate teams. Strong judgment, work ethic, and integrity.
