What you will do Walk and stand for prolonged periods of time Wear body armor, duty belt with handcuffs, baton, radio, flashlight, and first aid kit Engage in high volume face‑to‑face public interactions Write detailed and accurate reports on incidents Maintain a physical presence as a deterrent to illegal activity Ensure safety and security of site staff and visitors Provide empathetic approach to managing escalated situations Contribute to the overall experience by providing superior customer care You will be a great fit if you Are at least 21 years of age Have a minimum of 2 years' Security or Military experience Have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record Are able to provide proof of High School diploma, GED or higher education. Possess a valid Washington State Security License Have effective verbal and written communication skills Enjoy working with the public and providing excellent customer service Please note, successful candidates must complete a mandatory 5‑day paid training course in Renton If you do not have a Washington State Security License, you will be responsible for paying the fees to obtain one. The 2024 SGL costs are $31.05 for fingerprints and $101.00 for the License application. There is also an unpaid mandatory State SGL class that you will be required to complete.
