Mathematics Teacher

Job Opportunity: Mathematics Teacher We are seeking a positive, enthusiastic educator for the 2025-2026 academic year who enjoys making complex math concepts engaging and accessible. The ideal candidate will have the background and experience to teach all levels of mathematics, including advanced courses. This role extends beyond the classroom—participants will also serve as Advisors, Dorm Parents, and Coaches, influencing students' academic and personal growth. Responsibilities include: Teaching advanced high school math using real-world examples, creative problem-solving, and humor to foster curiosity and understanding. Mentoring and motivating teenagers with diverse learning needs and achievement levels. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics. At least 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in an independent school setting. Ability to teach higher-level math. Understanding of social-emotional learning concepts. Experience in coaching sports such as football, hockey, and/or tennis is a plus. Location: Approximately 60 miles from New York City, with a 10-minute walk to the train station. Living in the dorm is required, which offers additional savings. Salary Range: $40,000 - $65,000 annually.
