This job acts as a leader in the provision of patient care using the nursing process within the framework of the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code for Nurses, and Scope & Standards of Practice. The role involves delegating, directing, and assisting licensed and ancillary team members; ensuring quality patient outcomes; respecting cultural, ethnic, and religious diversity; and supporting the department’s strategic goals. Education Required - Registered nurse diploma. Preferred - Associate or bachelor's degree in nursing. Work Experience Required - None. Certifications Required - Current RN license in the state of practice. Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association. Preferred - Certification in a clinical specialty area. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) Proficiency in using computers, software, and web applications. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. Strong interpersonal skills. Good organizational and time management skills; ability to be self-directed. Good judgment. Job Duties Use the nursing process effectively in patient care. Assess learning needs and implement appropriate teaching strategies. Communicate, delegate, and manage nursing team resources effectively; serve as a leader in the interdisciplinary team. Utilize data and information to evaluate and promote change for optimal outcomes. Enhance customer satisfaction, employee morale, and nursing professionalism. Adapt behavior to specific patient populations, respecting privacy and communication styles. Perform other related duties as required. The above describes the general nature and level of work.
