Senior ETL Developer

Overview Genpact is inviting applications for the role of SQL Developer. The primary focus is on designing, developing, and maintaining databases and database applications using SQL (Structured Query Language), with an emphasis on data integrity, security, and performance of database systems. Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain databases and database applications using SQL. Ensure data integrity, security, and optimal performance of database systems. Understand existing database landscape, including stored procedures, triggers, jobs, and data flows, and work within large, complex environments. Write and optimize large, complex SQL statements; tune ETL jobs and database queries to improve performance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate with stakeholders from technical and non-technical backgrounds. Apply data transformation logic and ensure data quality in ETL processes. Use SDLC tools and experience with DevOps, CI/CD, and Agile methodologies as appropriate. Manage version control and artifacts (e.g., Git, SVN) for database-related code and automation scripts. Qualifications Minimum: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Preferred: Proficient in SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server); ability to navigate large, complex organizations and multi-task in a changing environment. Experience in application development and database performance tuning; ability to work in a large corporate setting. High integrity, sense of urgency, attention to detail, and commitment to quality. Strong proficiency in SQL Server and related databases; ability to design stable, reliable, and effective databases. Ability to quickly understand large, existing database landscapes with numerous objects and data flows. Experience writing and editing large, complex SQL statements and optimizing ETL jobs. Exposure to SDLC tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, SVN, Jenkins); experience with DevOps, CI/CD, and Agile. Strong data transformation, data cleaning, and data quality skills in ETL processes. Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to translate business requirements into data solutions. Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Experience with version control for Informatica artifacts and related production scripting.
