Supply Chain Manager

Eaton’s IS AER FMC division is currently seeking a Supply Chain Manager at our Los Angeles site location! This person will be a part of defining and transforming supply chain functions within this plant, defining ownership within teams, and clarity to all network level decisions to be implemented within the site.With almost 300 employees, the Los Angeles facility designs and manufactures quality valves, regulators, and other fluid controls used mostly by the Aerospace Industry.The expected annual salary range for this role is $149000 - $219000 a year. This role is also eligible for a variable incentive plan.Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.What you’ll do:This position is responsible for managing key Supply Chain related functions such as materials planning, scheduling and ordering activities associated with the delivery of specific customer products, direct and indirect material purchasing, inventory control and warehousing, shipping and receiving. Manages and directs supply chain personnel in the procurement, receipt, disbursement, and inventory control of material to ensure on-time delivery of customer orders while maintaining assigned inventory levels. Is expected to train and educate direct reports on the use of supply chain management techniques, various business systems, varieties of reports and other related tools to ensure timely and economical completion of customer requirements.In this function you will:Manages current and future demand requirements with manufacturing and supplier capabilities / capacities to ensure completion of customer requirementsImplements methods, practices and techniques to ensure the most economical movement of materials through the supply chain to achieve cost-effective logistics practices and inventory levels while meeting customer delivery requirementsManages plant purchasing activities for items procured on local basis in order to compliment centrally purchased itemsEstablish standard work and attainment of KPIs (leading and lagging)Analyzes data, including enterprise requirements, planning information and prepares consolidated managerial reports as needed to facilitate and recommend actions to ensure plant / product line optimal supply chain executionEnsures correct planning parameters and transaction disciplines are utilized in order execution systems (such as MFGPro) to ensure proper order generation and inventory balancesManages material cost and schedule impact of proposed engineering changes in addition to taking necessary actions to ensure successful implementation and incorporation of approved engineering releasesEnsures quality of shipping documentation to meet corporate financial and customer audit requirementsDevises and manages physical inventory audit methodology which meets corporate, governmental and customer specificationsChampion and deploy continuous improvement leveraging tools such as internal assessments ( MMA,OPA), visual management, standard work and value stream mapping Evaluates operational performance of the group in order to facilitate performance management, merit promotions, job transfers, dismissals, commendations, etc.Coordinates with central Corporate Supply Chain Function to provide data and participate in teams in order to drive best practices across Eaton Corp.Support compliance initiatives and corporate commodity, logistics, and inventory strategies to achieve synergy across the operation.Responsible for the administration of Indirect and MRO purchasing function according to policies and practices determined by Eaton standards.Responsible for generating short-term production scheduling aligned the plan defined by the NetworkResponsible for monitoring execution of production schedule defined by the Network ( schedule labor on factory floor, monitor execution of the production plan)Responsible for escalation of of material availability to the COE and Network teamsQualifications:Required Qualifications:• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution• Minimum 4 years of related professional and supervisory/managerial experience• Minimum 7 years Purchasing and Planning experience in a manufacturing or operations environment• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.• This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
