Clinic Manager-Key Whitman Eye Center, Mesquite Job Category : Leadership Clinical Requisition Number : CLINI039476 Full-Time On-site Locations Showing 1 location Mesquite, TX 75150, USA Description Now Hiring: Key Whitman Eye Center, Mesquite 1220 Town East Blvd., Mesquite, TX Job Title: Clinic Manager Position Summary: The Clinic Manager is responsible for developing and deploying patient care initiatives, operational projects, and patient care strategies within an assigned Clinic.
ESSENTIAL DUITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Supervises ophthalmic assistants (certified and non-certified), and diagnostic techs in their daily duties. Manages the day-to-day administrative and optical operations of the Mesquite location. Represents, supports, and promotes a positive image of Key-Whitman Eye Centers when dealing with patients inside and outside of the company. Creates and sustains a highly accountable and inspired work environment where employees deliver exceptional patient care; sets the example for how operational and clinical staff work together by demonstrating shared leadership with the Regional Administrator. Ensures all systems are functioning well as designed and all instruments and equipment are well maintained. Arranges for the clinical purchases of supplies, instruments, and service agreements in the clinical exam lanes and diagnostic areas. Plans and organizes the scheduling of Tech/Scribe and administrative duties and work hours in a manner consistent with fluctuations in patient flow and physician availability. Facilitates communication and scheduling with Regional Administrator. Participates in the selection, hiring and training of new clinical and administrative personnel. Counsels & evaluates all clinic and administrative staff to ensure standards of performance, clinical protocols and professional behavior are being met. Works with Human Resources and the Regional Administrator on any behavior corrective action or other personnel policy issues. Works with the Regional Administrator on conducting timely evaluation reviews for clinic staff. Works in conjunction with the Regional Administrator to monitor staffing resources, payroll, patient scheduling, patient satisfaction, doctors’ schedules, and address general clinic policies & procedures. Oversees and coordinates clinical EMR and compliance efforts. Performs direct patient care consistent with general clinic responsibilities and any added responsibilities according to level of certification. Monitors daily schedule for the Mesquite physician; blocking, adding and manipulating appointments to ensure the schedules are adequately filled. Responsible for timely bank deposit and mail sorting/delivery. Other duties as assigned Some College Coursework is preferred; BA or BS Experience with electronic medical record systems (EMRs) is preferred. Minimum of four years’ experience serving in a clinical healthcare environment is required COA/COT preferred; not required Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Excellent problem-solving skills. Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively and present information and respond to questions from groups of colleagues, patients, and physicians. CPR preferred; not required.PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
