Phlebotomist - OKC (A10123)

Job Location: Oklahoma City, OK 73008 Position Type: Full Time Education Level: High School Job Shift: Day Job Summary This position provides phlebotomy coverage for field services including all In-Office Phlebotomists and Patient Service Centers in assigned areas. The role collects samples from all patients: pediatric through geriatric. Additionally, the role ensures specimen integrity by adhering to the laboratory’s procedures for specimen collection, handling, and processing. Duties/Responsibilities Follows laboratory procedures for specimen collection and handling. Retrieves blood from patients while providing excellent customer service. Enter patient data accurately into an electronic lab information system or manually. Identify patient data and accurately label specimens. Perform functions appropriately and use time management skills to achieve departmental goals. Follow all established guidelines and adhere to company policies and procedures. Pack and prepare samples for specimen shipment and/or transport. Communicate efficiently and timely with leadership to address and report all issues observed in the field. Has availability for approximately 10% travel. Performs other related duties as assigned. Hours Monday - Friday, (8:00a - 4:30p) Required Skills / Abilities Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Ability to function well in a high‑paced and stressful environment. Education and Experience High School Diploma or equivalent required. 2 years of full‑time phlebotomy experience required. Physical Requirements Ability to alternate between standing, sitting, and walking. Frequent use of hands. Must be able to talk and hear. Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
