Registered Nurse (RN) – ICU | Travel Assignment
Location: Bay City, Michigan
Specialty: ICU – Intensive Care Unit
Assignment: Travel RN
Shift: 12-Hour Days
Hours: 36 Hours Guaranteed/Week
EMR: Cerner
Hospital: 404-Bed Acute Care Hospital
ICU Ratio: 1:2 / 1:1 for special populations

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct bedside care to critically ill patients.
• Assess patients, monitor changes in condition, and communicate clinical findings.
• Implement physician orders and evaluate the effectiveness of the plan of care.
• Administer medications and treatments according to hospital protocols.
• Coordinate and delegate patient-care activities appropriately.
• Provide patient and family education related to treatment, discharge, and transfer.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
• Participate in patient-care conferences and discharge planning.
• Mentor/precept new staff and students as needed.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience – Required
• Must be comfortable floating to ED and Stepdown – Required
• BLS (AHA), ACLS, and NIHSS – Required
• Travel nursing experience preferred.
• Neurosurgical experience preferred.
• Open-heart experience preferred.
• TCAR, TNCC, CCRN, or SCRN certifications are a plus.
• Active Michigan RN license required; compact license is not accepted for this assignment.
• Must be comfortable working every other weekend.
• Strict attendance policy applies.
