About the Role

The Company is in search of a Chief for its Division of General Medicine. The successful candidate will be a physician leader with a strong background in clinical care, research, and teaching, and will be responsible for the strategic growth and direction of the division. This role demands an individual with a unique vision, enthusiasm, and experience, particularly in the areas of operational integration, program development, and enhancing the clinical, educational, and community mission. The Chief will oversee all aspects of the division, including faculty affairs, educational and training programs, research programs, and patient care programs. A key aspect of the position is the ability to balance clinical leadership with educational responsibilities, particularly those tied to residency programs, and to ensure quality outcomes that enhance service and education integration. Candidates for the Chief of General Medicine position at the company should hold an MD, DO, or equivalent degree, be board certified in internal medicine, and have a minimum of 5 years' of administrative experience in an academic medical center. The role requires a leader with a proven track record of national distinction and a commitment to patient care with a service-oriented, team-based philosophy. The ideal candidate will also have experience in the recruitment and development of diverse faculty and staff, and a demonstrated ability to drive strategic growth. While not mandatory, additional qualifications such as a health profession degree, experience in the development of new academic programs, and ECRP experience are preferred. The Chief will be expected to work closely with the esteemed Chair of the Department of Internal Medicine and must be prepared to advance the department's mission with the highest levels of professionalism, integrity, and leadership.
