Job Opportunity – Perioperative Registered Nurse – Wisconsin

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Madison, Wisconsin

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8-10 hour shifts with rotating start times between 6:30am - 10:30am. Primarily 8-hour shifts. Day/Evening rotation. May require staying past scheduled shift to complete daily surgical schedule.

Highlights:

• Level I Trauma Center experience with comprehensive perioperative care including Pre-Op, Phase I PACU, and Phase II Recovery
• Epic charting system utilized throughout facility
• Patient ratio of 2-3 patients, adult population
• Magnet-designated teaching hospital ranked as Wisconsin's leading healthcare institution
• Diverse case mix including general surgery, ENT, ophthalmology, plastics, orthopedics, and trauma procedures
• Up to two pre-approved time-off requests available

Requirements:

• Active RN license in good standing
• Minimum 2 years of acute care perioperative/PACU experience within the last 3 years
• Level I Trauma Center experience required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and CCRN
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Must pass telemetry competency exam with strict criteria: 100% identification of lethal rhythms, perfect score on 3rd degree heart blocks, and 80% overall passing score
• Willingness to float to other units as needed
• Must reside 50+ miles from facility (local candidates not accepted)
