Manager In Training- Part Time

Summary The Manager in Training assists the Store Manager with overall operations and administrative duties. The role ensures compliance with company policies, drives sales, and provides customer service excellence while acting as a stand-in for the Store Manager. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assist the Store Manager in controlling store assets. Help establish action plans for sales, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling. Assume responsibility for the entire store in the Store Manager's absence. Provide knowledge and guidance to employees and customers across all departments. Monitor inventory, sales statistics, and expenses to maintain profitability. Direct staff to meet departmental responsibilities and standards. Report inventory movement and customer trends to the Store Manager. Maintain high quality customer service per the customer service manual. Perform general administrative duties as required. Promote and sell Hibbett I City Gear services and merchandise. Uphold all company policies, procedures, and standards outlined in manuals and memos. Protect company assets and financial information by enforcing internal controls and reporting potential fraud. Supervisory Responsibilities When the Store Manager is absent, supervise employees in accordance with company policies and applicable laws. Duties include interviewing, training, planning, assigning, directing work, and resolving problems. Qualifications Experience in a retail environment, preferably footwear or athletic apparel. 1-3 years of customer service experience. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment. Strong teamwork skills with a focus on customer service and sales. Self-starter who takes initiative and manages multiple tasks.
