    About the Position

At the Washington State Office of the Insurance Commissioner (OIC), our work matters. Every day, we protect consumers, the public interest, and Washington's economy through fair, effective, and transparent regulation of the insurance industry. Behind that mission is a dedicated workforce-and the Human Resources team plays a critical role in ensuring our people are supported, empowered, and treated equitably.

The Human Resources Consultant 4 (HRC4) is a senior-level HR professional who helps make that mission possible. Assigned to the Executive Division and reporting directly to the Human Resources Director, this role serves as an expert HR Generalist and trusted advisor to agency leadership, managers, and employees. The HRC4 ensures our policies and practices are compliant, fair, and aligned with OIC's values. Prior experience in a state or government setting is preferred. This position is also a key driver in advancing workforce diversity, mitigating bias, and fostering an inclusive and equitable workplace where employees can thrive.
