Job Title: Registered Nurse I Profession: RN Specialty: ICU Duration: Not specified Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of one year in a high acuity/critical environment License: Valid multi-state or State of Oklahoma Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS Must-Have: - Critical care experience is required; must be able to start immediately and handle ICU responsibilities. - Working knowledge of general disease state management processes and clinical pathways. - Effective interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. - Ability to organize and prioritize work efficiently. - Attention to detail for examining clinical and numerical data. Description: The Registered Nurse I assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care. Utilizes the nursing process to care for patients. Assesses, organizes, and completes patient care with consideration for patient age and psychosocial factors. Documents steps of the nursing process. Utilizes proper medical terminology. Addresses problems and progress toward goals. Facilitates patient discharge through appropriate referrals and education resources. Collaborates with other disciplines as appropriate. Supports unit and hospital goals through performance improvement and educational activities. Exercises independent judgment in planning operations and making minor decisions in complex professional fields. Works directly with patients and/or customers. Communicates with internal customers via telephone or face-to-face interaction. Collaborates with other healthcare professionals and staff.
