Job Description

As a Security Guard Armed Patrol Driver in Marion, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government corrections location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license and offers the opportunity to deliver exceptional customer service and communication while working with integrity, teamwork, and care.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and residents by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a government corrections location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation protocols.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, access points, and parking areas to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor and control access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and document visitor, staff, and vehicle activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Prepare clear and accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation; communicate observations and concerns to appropriate site personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
