Sentara offers a newly graduated Registered Nurse with less than 12 months of experience, a Nurse Residency Program that can give you the skills and support you need to make a successful transition into your professional practice. No separate application and no application deadlines. Automatic enrollment for all newly hired graduate nurses. Available at all 12 Sentara hospitals. After orientation, begin your Residency right away. 6-months of hands-on experience alongside trained preceptors in 6 areas: Medical-Surgical, Intermediate Care, Critical Care, Emergency, Operating Room, and Women's Health Topics such as career pathing, professional development, leadership, self-care, and stress management. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
