SUMMARY OF DUTIES: The purpose of a School Support Secretary I is to provide secretarial support to an assigned school site; provide information regarding site functions and procedures; establish and maintain records; compile and distribute materials, records, and reports; respond to inquiries from a variety of internal and external sources. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: A typical qualifying background would include any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school, two (2) years of responsible clerical experience and type/keyboard at an acceptable rate of speed. WORKING CONDITIONS: Office environment.

PROMOTIONAL AND OPEN TESTING. Open to employees of the District and the public with the selection process resulting in one (1) Eligibility List that will be used to fill current vacancies and any future vacancies that occur within one (1) year or until the list becomes exhausted. Current permanent employees of the District will be awarded seniority points as per the contract. All properly completed applications will be reviewed and the most appropriately qualified individuals will be invited to continue in the selection process. The process may consist of an evaluation and scoring of application materials, written testing, oral interview and/or performance test to evaluate the applicant's skill, training and experience.
