Required Skills: Eligibility for medical licensure in Michigan Proven experience with a wide range of GI procedures including EGD, colonoscopy, pH studies, manometry, sigmoidoscopy, PEG/PEG-J tube placement Certification and proficiency in ERCP/EUS are highly preferred Strong clinical judgment and excellent communication skills Ability to independently handle all aspects of patient care and charting without assistance Knowledge of electronic health records such as Cerner, gGastro, and Athena Nice to Have Skills: Prior experience with capsule endoscopy and hydrogen breath testing Familiarity with hospital-based procedures and endoscopy suite protocols Comfort with managing complex patient cases and interdisciplinary communication Preferred Education and Experience: MD or DO degree from an accredited institution Board certification or eligibility in Gastroenterology Minimum of 2 years of post-residency clinical experience in a similar setting Other Requirements: Availability for full coverage of specified dates including orientation, scheduled procedures, and overnight call shifts Ability to manage high-volume daily patient load (~12 patients/day) Must complete all credentialing, background checks, and onboarding requirements promptly Responsibility for all charting, pathology review, and patient follow-up communication This rewarding role offers competitive compensation, flexible scheduling, and comprehensive benefits.
