Director, Thought Leader Liaison - Sjögren’s Disease

Amgen seeks a Director to lead the national Thought Leader Liaison team for a Sjögren's disease launch, a rare autoimmune condition with significant unmet medical need. The role combines strategic planning, team leadership, and field-based engagement with key opinion leaders and cross-functional partners to execute a high-priority product launch.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute TLL strategy and annual operating plan aligned with brand priorities and measurable objectives
• Hire, lead, coach, and develop high-performing national team with clear goals and accountability
• Build engagement approach for leading and emerging experts across relevant medical specialties
• Translate field insights, customer feedback, and competitive intelligence into brand strategy recommendations
• Coordinate cross-functional launch readiness with Marketing, Medical Affairs, Sales, Market Access, and other partners

Requirements

• Doctorate degree and 4+ years marketing experience, OR Master's degree and 8+ years marketing/commercial experience, OR Bachelor's degree and 10+ years marketing/commercial experience
• Demonstrated success leading pharmaceutical or biotechnology product launches
• Experience launching first-in-class therapies in areas of high unmet medical need
• Proven ability leading through ambiguity and competitive change
• Experience building commercial organizations and leading teams through pre-launch and launch phases
• Strong cross-functional leadership and executive communication skills
• Experience in autoimmune disease, immunology, rheumatology, or rare disease preferred
