Enterprise Architect Director

Neurocrine Biosciences seeks a Director of IT Enterprise Architecture to lead strategic architecture initiatives across the organization. This role defines target-state architecture, technology roadmap, and governance frameworks while translating business priorities into scalable, compliant technology solutions across research, manufacturing, commercial, and administrative functions.

Responsibilities

• Define and communicate enterprise architecture vision, current and target-state architecture aligned to business strategy
• Establish architecture frameworks, standards, and governance model including design authority and review boards
• Conduct business capability assessments and guide solution architecture for core platforms (ERP, CRM, PLM, SCM, quality systems)
• Lead architecture direction on cloud, security, data analytics, and AI adoption across the enterprise
• Provide strategic architecture leadership for M&A, divestitures, and in-licensing activities including system integration and separation

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, engineering, or related field; Master's preferred
• 12+ years progressive IT experience with 8+ years in enterprise or solution architecture
• 5+ years leading technical teams on enterprise architecture initiatives or complex programs
• Strong expertise in integration architecture, API management, and enterprise middleware
• Hands-on experience architecting on AWS or Azure with cloud security and cost optimization
• Knowledge of modern data platforms (Databricks, Snowflake, Redshift) and data governance
• Demonstrated experience with AI, automation, low-code solutions, and M&A architecture planning
