Provide planning and decision-making support to meet operational requirements and ensure integration with radiology and organizational initiatives. Oversee Radiology Department compliance with Maryland, Washington DC, FDA, MQSA, and ACR. Serve as part of the imaging center team and provide feedback for improved clinical practice, training, and SOPs. Requirements EXPERIENCE : Minimum of 3 years of clinical leadership in radiology or nursing Direct experience in quality improvement, planning, and process improvement EDUCATION : Minimum Associate Degree in Radiology or graduate of an accredited two-year radiology program LICENSE/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS : Must be certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography and maintain current ARRT registration Must hold an advanced level certification in primary specialty area through ARRT or obtain it within the first 12 months of employment Must meet state licensure requirements for the state in which they practice BLS certification required within 60 days of hire SKILLS/ABILITIES : Skill in operation of radiographic equipment and applicable ancillary equipment Ability to work independently and multitask Excellent verbal and written communication skills Works effectively within a "partnership" model with program leaders and staff Ability to develop and implement projects in a timely manner Ability to create innovative organizational pathways that support functional and innovation goals Serves as a matrix manager overseeing cross-functional performance of a process Demonstrates expert process analysis skills in clinical process improvement/redesign initiatives Flexible thinker able to adapt to a changing environment Demonstrates creativity, foresight and mature judgment in managing workload Ability to provide documentation accurately and concisely Understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, radiopharmacology, and medical terminology Familiarity with drafting, reviewing, and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure compliance and clarity Note: This posting includes information about the employer and general job scope related to the Radiology Manager role.
