The salary range for this position is $36.50 - $58.40 (Hourly Rate). Placement within the salary range is dependent on several factors such as relevant work experience and internal equity. For positions represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range is guided by the rules outlined in the collective bargaining agreement. Benefits

The Staff Nurse Inpatient-Kishwaukee reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM and adheres to all relevant policies, procedures, and regulatory standards. Responsibilities Complete assessments for each assigned patient according to hospital and unit guidelines, considering physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and environmental variables. Recognize signs of abuse/neglect. Assess patient/family educational needs, abilities, learning preferences, and readiness to learn. Anticipate potential problems including disease-related issues, adjustment to disease, physical complications, knowledge deficits, discharge needs, and family support. Develop and update nursing plans of care based on assessment and diagnosis with input from the interdisciplinary team, including patient and family education and discharge planning. Initiate and coordinate effective communication with physicians and other healthcare providers, reporting and recording pertinent observations. Assess patient response to treatment, recognize and analyze the cause of symptoms and changing condition, and initiate appropriate nursing interventions. Prioritize care needs for assigned patients, adjusting priorities as patient status or unit activity changes. Participate in discharge planning from admission, documenting patient teaching, understanding of the plan, and timely referrals. Apply Standards of Care to provide safe patient care, consulting with team members and clinical development coordinator as needed. Identify, implement, and document age‑specific interventions promptly and safely. Include the patient, family, or significant other as active participants in care planning and teaching. Administer prescribed medications and perform treatments safely, using medication administration time to educate patients and families. Provide pain management and comfort support to patients and families. Report potential abuse/neglect according to hospital policy. Coordinate patient care activities with other departments, providers, and community agencies. Perform re‑assessment of patients in line with patient condition, standards, and policy. Evaluate diagnostic data promptly and intervene appropriately. Document treatments, assessments, and patient responses accurately. Communicate status changes to shift charge nurse, physician, or other team members. Evaluate effectiveness of teaching plan based on patient and family response. Initiate patient care conferences and revise plans with the interdisciplinary team as needed. Evaluate quality of care, including assessments and plans. Qualifications Required: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Current State of Illinois Registered Professional Nurse license American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) is acceptable with a commitment to obtain a BSN from an accredited program within three years of first day of employment in a clinical nurse role.
