Business Operations Specialist

Action Manufacturing is a fast-growing steel and aluminum fabricator serving the electric utility and lighting industry. We're looking for a Business Operations Specialist to take ownership of the operational engine that keeps orders moving — from raw material purchasing through pricing, scheduling, and shipping. This is a hands-on, high-trust role for someone who wants to learn how a manufacturing business actually runs, with a clear path to take on more strategic responsibility as they prove it out. What You'll Own Apply standard pricing independently using established frameworks and tools Prepare and route 6–12 month pricing agreements for sign-off Purchasing Manage raw material purchasing independently, working within supplier relationships and inventory needs Monitor lead times and material availability against production schedules Shipping Coordinate outbound shipments, documentation (e.g., bills of lading), and carrier logistics Ensure on-time delivery that "fits the first time" — no surprises for the customer Scheduling Coordination Support production scheduling visibility through our ERP system, coordinating between sales, purchasing, and the shop floor Help keep the order-to-delivery timeline accurate and communicated Where You'll Grow As you build judgment and trust in the core role, there’s real room to grow into: Supporting EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System) implementation and tools Direct strategic support to the CEO on business operations initiatives Increasing autonomy on pricing and purchasing decisions Who You Are Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, finance, or a related field A self-starter who takes ownership and closes the loop — you don't need to be told twice Comfortable with (or eager to learn) ERP systems and everyday AI tools to work efficiently Organized, detail-oriented, and calm under the pressure of moving parts Fit matters more than a checklist of experience — we're looking for someone who embodies: Ownership — sees things through to done, not just started Urgent Results — moves now, finishes right Partner — makes our customers' lives easier Serve Beyond Self — shows up for teammates and community 1% Better Every Day — never settles for yesterday's standard #J-18808-Ljbffr
