Performs routine scrub duties according to AORN standards and established policies and procedures of the department of surgery. Assists in the maintenance of a safe environment for all. Keeps current and operating room techniques, procedures, instruments, supplies and equipment; assists with the ongoing Performance improvement Program. Required to work flexible hours and be on call nights, weekends and holidays. Assists with annual performance evaluations and competencies. Qualifications Education: Minimum: High School diploma or equivalent. Graduate of an approved operating room technologist program. Required Experience: One or more years experience as an OR Surgical Technologist Required Certification/Licensure/Registration: American Heart Association BLS TECH-SURGICAL (CERT) - Certification recommended
