Role Overview
The Medical Lead Veterinarian champions clinical excellence, mentoring associate veterinarians, and fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Leadership & Mentorship: Manage and coach DVMs, conduct performance reviews, and promote professional growth.
- Medical Excellence: Set high standards for quality care, practice as an associate, and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Hospital Performance: Collaborate on operational planning, manage financial goals, and oversee hospital protocols.
- Team Development: Lead medical meetings, supervise externship programs, and support recruitment efforts.
- Community Engagement: Represent the hospital at local events and build community relationships.
Qualifications & Skills
DVM degree, valid license, at least 2 years of clinical experience, strong communication skills, and a servant leadership mindset. Proficiency in computer skills and a desire to grow professionally are essential.
Key Responsibilities
Practice high-level medicine across wellness, diagnostics, urgent care, and surgeries, including exotics. Lead a diverse, meaningful caseload in a full-service, well-equipped clinic.
