Work Environment

This position is located within our onsite rehabilitation facility, equipped with the latest therapeutic equipment and resources to enable you to carry out effective treatment plans. As a member of a cohesive healthcare team, you will closely collaborate with multidisciplinary team members, including physicians, occupational therapists, and nursing staff, all dedicated to providing the highest level of patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to assess their physical capabilities, limitations, and therapy needs.
• Develop, implement, and adjust personalized treatment plans that address identified impairments and functional goals.
• Regularly monitor and document the progress of patients, ensuring treatment protocols are adapted to optimize recovery outcomes.
• Administer diverse therapeutic modalities, including manual therapy techniques and therapeutic exercises, to facilitate rehabilitation.
• Engage patients and their families by providing education on home exercise programs and lifestyle modifications to maintain physical health.
• Ensure that all care provided complies with established state and federal regulations as well as industry standards.
• Actively participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to enhance communication and collaborative care strategies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and other musculoskeletal conditions. This includes working with diverse patient demographics, including geriatric populations who may have complex medical histories and need tailored therapeutic approaches. Your work will greatly impact their recovery journey, enabling them to regain independence and function.

Qualifications

• A valid state license as a Physical Therapist in Florida.
• A Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
• Exceptional organizational abilities to manage patient schedules and maintain accurate records.
• A solid foundation of clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills to assess and address patient needs.

Preferred Experience

• At least 2 years of clinical experience in physical therapy, preferably within a skilled nursing facility or rehabilitation setting.
• Experience working specifically with orthopedic and geriatric populations is highly desirable.
• A demonstrated commitment to professional growth through ongoing education and participation in relevant workshops and conferences.

Compensation and Benefits
