Maintenance Supervisor (Lease-Up)

Lewis Apartment Communities, a division of one of the largest privately owned Real Estate developers and Property Managers in the nation, currently seeks an experienced Maintenance Supervisor for Independence in West Sacramento, our newest 208-rental home community. Great opportunity for a proactive and positive team leader. The right candidate should have a strong proven supervisory background along with strong experience in all aspects of general residential maintenance.

Some of your duties and responsibilities will include:

• Management of Maintenance and Grounds staff
• Strong all-around maintenance skills in the apartment industry
• Experience in carpentry, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, painting, and appliance (dishwashers, washers/dryers, etc) installation and repair
• Construction, renovation, and/or lease up experience a plus
• Making ready units for new occupancy
• Interaction with community manager and staff
• Walking property with community managers
• Maintaining units of current residents
• Managing/negotiating with outside vendors
• Administrative reporting and expense management
• Maintaining the leasing office and all recreation facilities
• Requires reliable transportation and valid driver's license.

• Moving and transporting heavy objects, as needed
• Bending/stooping/walking repeatedly over time and throughout your community.
• Ascend/descend stairs and ladders as required.
• Ability to exchange information and communicate with Company employees and the general public by speaking/reading/writing English.

To be successful, your background should include:

• Prior staff supervision background
• Strong all-around residential maintenance skills in the apartment/residential industry
• Experience in carpentry, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, painting, and appliance (dishwashers, washers, stoves, etc.) installation and repair
• HVAC Certification is a big plus

SALARY & BENEFITS: In addition to a competitive hourly wage ($34-38/hour depending on experience) Lewis Maintenance Supervisors earn:
