RN, Cath Lab (Per Diem Days)The Cardiac Catheterization / Electrophysiology Registered Nurse (Cath/EP RN) provides specialized nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac and electrophysiology procedures in the acute care hospital setting. This role supports patient care across the continuum including pre-procedure assessment, intra-procedure monitoring and medication administration, and post-procedure recovery. Associate's degree required; BSN preferred.Experience: Minimum of 1 to 2 years of acute care nursing experience required. Prior experience in critical care, emergency department, PACU, IR, Cath Lab strongly preferred. Experience with cardiac monitoring, vasoactive medications, and rapid clinical assessment preferred.Skills: Advanced cardiac assessment and rhythm interpretation skills. Ability to manage patients undergoing invasive cardiovascular and electrophysiology procedures. Strong critical thinking and rapid decision-making abilities in high-acuity situations. Knowledge of sterile technique, vascular access management, and post-procedure hemostasis. Excellent communication, teamwork, and time-management skills. Proficiency with electronic medical records and procedural documentation systems.License / Certification: Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment. Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
