Full job description Minuteman Press, the world’s largest and top-rated digital print, marketing, and design franchise, is seeking candidates for a position with our new Richmond, TX store as a Graphic Designer and running production on a Xerox Proficio Digital Press. This position will be primarially responsible for pre-press preparations, graphic design, print production and finishing/bindery. Secondary responsibilities are customer consultation, answering phones, and replying to emails. You will be working in a fast paced, exciting work environment with high standards and a strong commitment to customer satisfaction. The Minuteman Press Richmond location requires technical expertise in prepress software (Adobe Creative Suite) and color management, rather than specific formal degrees Requirements: Technical expertise in prepress software (Adobe Creative Suite) Proficiency with Graphic Design and Typesetting Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Experience with file preparation (PDF/X) Quality Control proficiency and Color Correction across an array of production machines. Paying close attention to resolution, and color profiles (CMYK) Proficiency with Digital Press operations (Xerox, Ricoh, Konica Minolta, Etc) Experience with prepress tools such as Acrobat Pro and PitStop Pro File imposition and prepress setup, including adding bleeds, crop marks, creating gangups, etc. Knowledge of Finishing and Bindery skills, such as paper cutting, binding, gluing, etc. Understanding of different print materials (substrates) and their characteristics Excellent communication skills, verbal and written Excellent time management skills, you should be able to juggle multiple tasks and aggressive daily deadlines with minimal supervision and extraordinary attention to detail Ability to implement technical problem solving skills daily Work both independently and as a member of a team, from concept to completion Professional and positive attitude.
