Step into a dynamic nursing role supporting interventional radiology procedures in a busy outpatient setting. This 13-week contract assignment centers on delivering top-quality patient care during special procedures primarily CT coronary exams at a well-respected suburban outpatient center. Schedule Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. 4:00 p.m. Qualifications Active, unencumbered RN license Minimum 2 years of interventional radiology experience required Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications Demonstrated competency in administering cardiac medications, including nitroglycerin, and regulating heart rates as part of radiologic procedures Strong clinical assessment skills and comfort working in fast-paced, procedural settings Candidates must live at least 50 miles outside of the immediate area Role Responsibilities Provide expert nursing care for patients undergoing CT coronary imaging in outpatient radiology Monitor cardiac rhythms and intervene as needed, administering appropriate medications to safely regulate heart rates during exams Collaborate with radiologists and technologists to ensure accuracy and patient safety throughout procedures Demonstrate critical thinking and rapid response skills during contrast reactions, sedation monitoring, or emergent events Offer patient education and pre/post-procedure support geared to outpatient settings Benefits Opportunity to work with a respected clinical team specializing in advanced imaging Exposure to the latest radiologic technology and special procedures Consistent, weekday schedule.
