A Professional Armed Officer is responsible for maintaining safety and security by conducting armed patrols, controlling access points, and responding swiftly to incidents and emergencies. Working primarily in paired officer teams and on regular scheduled shifts, this role demands a high level of vigilance, effective communication, and coordination with law enforcement agencies to uphold security standards and protect property and individuals.

 

Responsibilities

• Conduct armed patrols to monitor assigned areas
• Manage access control and verify identity of personnel and visitors
• Respond promptly to security incidents and emergencies
• Handle emergency situations to minimize risk and ensure safety
• Prepare detailed reports on incidents and daily activities
• Coordinate with local law enforcement for investigation support

 

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Possession of a valid Armed Security License
• Proven conflict resolution skills
• Strong communication abilities
• Competency in report writing
• Knowledge and experience in emergency response procedures
• Ability to work effectively within a team

 

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in security or law enforcement
