13-Week Travel Contract | 36 hrs/week | Variable Shift

Position Highlights
Specialty: Progressive Care / Stepdown / Telemetry RN
Location: Hilo, HI
Shift: Variable
Hours: 36 hrs/week after orientation; no guaranteed hours
Call: None
EMR: EPIC
Contract: 13 weeks
Unit: 15-bed PCU – 3 Stepdown ICU beds + 12 Telemetry beds
Ratios: 1:4 PCU | 1:3 Stepdown ICU
Requirements
3+ year of hospital acute-care RN experience within the last 3 years
3 years of Progressive Care and Telemetry experience
BLS required
ACLS
PALS
NIHSS preferred
Active Hawaii RN license required by start date; must apply upon acceptance if not currently licensed
Strong telemetry monitoring and telemetry strip interpretation skills
Experience with primary nursing care and fingerstick blood glucose monitoring
Additional Details
Will float to acute-care units as needed, including Med/Surg, Peds, ICU and ER
Continuous cardiac monitoring, BiPAP and Pyxis utilized
Scrubs required
Holiday coverage required
