About the HICU
- 20 semi-private rooms, caring for up to 40 high-acuity patients
- Multidisciplinary team including nursing, respiratory therapy, rehab, pharmacy, nutrition, and social work
- Focused on recovery, early intervention, and family-centered care
- State-of-the-art monitoring and life-support technology
- Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care to patients with complex needs
- Operate and monitor advanced medical and life-support equipment
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Provide education and emotional support to patients and families
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes

- Education: ADN required; BSN preferred
- Experience: Critical care or high-acuity experience preferred (new grads welcome to apply)
- Licensure: Current Maryland RN license and BLS certification required; ACLS required within one year of hire
- Skills: Strong critical thinking, clinical judgment, and communication skills
