Maintenance Mechanic 3rd shift

Overview Maintenance Mechanic on rd shift. Shift: rd shift (rd : pm - : am). Responsibilities and Job Duties Performs skilled maintenance and repairs of facility systems such as mechanical, electrical and building systems; ability to interpret blueprints and schematics. Troubleshoot equipment problems and perform immediate repairs and preventative maintenance to production lines and facilitate change-over. Maintenance on equipment. Overhaul and install new equipment. Rebuild and fabricate parts. Perform facility maintenance and maintain a clean and safe work area. Generate parts requests to ensure adequate inventory. Generate and complete work orders as assigned. Perform equipment change-overs and production line setups. Minimum Qualifications Vocational certification preferred.

1. 3 years of industrial maintenance experience required.
2. 5 years of mechanical/electrical experience preferred.

Prior diagnostic/troubleshooting and preventative maintenance experience preferred. Previous experience within high-speed industrial environment. Demonstrated mechanical and technical aptitude. Basic computer skills. Ability to follow manufacturer\'s specifications and schematics. Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) knowledge preferred. Education and Technical Requirements The primary need is electrical and mechanical knowledge related to the listed equipment; PLC knowledge is not required but may be discussed if listed on the resume. An industrial electrical and mechanical degree would be optimal; electrical certs and schools would help. GED accepted. Questions during Interview Interview revolves around the resume and demonstrated experience. Pose open-ended questions about how the candidate would troubleshoot a line breakdown, focusing on thought process and root-cause analysis. Avoid direct mathematical electrical questions.
