Director of Operations, Hollow Metal - West Region

Director of Operations, Hollow Metal – West Region Allegion is a global leader in security solutions, protecting people and places across 130 countries. The Hollow Metal division seeks a results‑driven Director of Operations to lead our West Region manufacturing and supply‑chain initiatives across three key facilities in Southern California. What You Will Do Oversee all plant operations for Krieger Specialty Products, SteelCraft West, and DCI, and mentor site leaders across multiple shifts. Develop and execute annual operating plans and budgets for capital, direct and indirect labor, and overhead, ensuring productivity improvements and effective control. Drive operational and supply‑chain synergies and efficiencies across all sites and support implementation of the Allegion Enterprise Excellence lean model. Develop a safety culture, ensure OSHA compliance, and support health‑wellness activities for all employees. Maintain the highest standards of quality and robust configuration control. Oversee financial management, including budgets for capital, direct and indirect labor, and overhead, to increase profitability. Be proactive and responsive to all facets of customer satisfaction, including delivery, lead time, and quality. Coordinate the manufacturing function with sales, marketing, design engineering, and other functional organizations. Actively engage in and support M&A activities, including strategic fit, due diligence, and integration initiatives. Travel routinely between facilities in Chino, Pico Rivera, and Fontana, and occasionally to customer locations and other Allegion facilities. What You Need to Succeed Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field. 12+ years of manufacturing operations leadership experience with progression across multiple sites or broad functional areas. Experience in metal fabrication industry (welding, forming, painting) highly preferred. A strategic driver with a clear vision for manufacturing operations and supply‑chain function. Proven lean implementation experience delivering cultural and operational excellence. Understanding of non‑repetitive, configurable manufacturing processes. Strong managerial, coaching, mentoring, teaching, and training skills. Executive presence, strong emotional intelligence, and effective communication skills.
