About the Role

The Company is in search of a Chief Credit Officer to join their team. The successful candidate will be tasked with providing leadership and support for all credit department operations, with a primary focus on overseeing the bank's loan risk management process to ensure quality control and minimize losses. This role requires the maintenance of loan policies and procedures in compliance with underwriting best practices, laws, and regulations, as well as staying abreast of banking regulatory changes and industry best practices. The Chief Credit Officer will also be responsible for developing and overseeing the bank's internal credit training program, managing the credit team, and ensuring that the team is appropriately staffed and trained. Applicants for the Chief Credit Officer position at the company should have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, with a minimum of ten years' of related work experience in financial/credit analysis and lending. A background in banking and current residency in the State of Arkansas are essential. The role demands a candidate with a strong management background, heavy experience in C&I lending, and preferably, experience in loan workout and SBA. The ideal candidate will have completed a formal bank management executive school or a financial industry-related degree program. Key skills include the ability to create and analyze credit presentations, business correspondence, loan policies, and procedures, as well as the capacity to interpret and ensure compliance with general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
