Accounts Receivable Specialist

Insight Global is currently hiring an Accounts Receivable Specialist for a large insurance client in the Omaha, NE area! This position will start as a 6 month contract but could have the opportunity for extension or potential conversion based on workload and performance! It will require working Monday through Friday during standard work hours and allows 2 days work from home. This will be an entry-level role but some experience in a billing or accounts receivable role is highly preferred!

The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for managing a portfolio of customer accounts, including account maintenance and reconciliation activities. The role includes responsibility for follow-up with agents, business partners and direct insureds on questions involving specific billings and payments to facilitate accurate cashflow.

Responsibilities:

- Balance customer accounts while communicating effectively with internal and external business partners

- Perform reconciliation of unapplied cash to open receivables, offsetting transactions, and initiating disbursements where applicable

- Reviews agent, broker, and customer payment discrepancies to determine origin

- Initiates appropriate action based on analysis working with Underwriting and agents, brokers, and customers to approve payment terms and resolve disputes

- Effectively and efficiently handle customer service inquiries via multiple channels

Qualifications:

- High School Diploma

- Microsoft Office Suite (Excel)

- At least 1 year of experience in an office environment

• Experience with billing, accounts receivable, or similar financial transactions
